Well, I haven't gotten to play this game yet, but I'm thinking of doing so soon, and building a PvP Ranger/Mesmer. This is the build I'm thinking of without including equipment, so if you have any suggestions, feel free to post.

Expertise: 11
Inspiration Magic: 10
Marksmanship: 10

Skills:
Spirit of Failure
Power Drain
Energy Tap

Distracting Shot
Favorable Winds
Concussion Shot
Pin Down/Crippling Shot
Savage Shot

The point is to first cast Favorable Winds and then use Spirit of Failure on the nearest visible tank or ranger to generate mana. Then use Concussion Shot on the Monk and while my partners hit a target, I use Power Drain on the next spell to regenerate MP, Pin Down to slow down stray targets, and Savage Shot/Distracting Shot on any action while waiting for Concussion Shot to hit the monk again. Using Energy Tap is for when I get lower.

IMO Spirit of Failure is crap at 3 second cast. Pick up inspire hex for team help or leech signet for another interupt.
